HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V. AFZULPURKAR Writ Petition No. 3484 of 2015 Order:

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Pleader. Though the learned Government Pleader seeks further time for getting instructions, but keeping in view the limited prayer in the writ petition, I deem it appropriate to dispose of the same by this order.

2. The petitioner's husband worked as a Special Grade Deputy Collector at Visakhapatnam. He expired in harness on 01.09.2004 and the petitioner, as his widow, is getting pension. Petitioner states that the pay scale of the post held by her husband was revised by the Government from time to time, but the pay commission benefits have not been extended and pension of the petitioner is not revised and as against Rs.23,000/- per month, which she would be entitled to as per the Revised Pay Scales - 2005, she is only getting pension of Rs.12,000/- per month. In view of that, she made a representation to the District Collector, Visakhapatnam. The petitioner's request for revised pension, therefore, is stated to be pending before the District Collector and copy submitted to the Chief Commissioner, Land Administration, Hyderabad, on 09.01.2015. The present writ petition is filed immediately on 16.02.2015.

3. I hardly see any inaction on the part of the official respondents as hardly a month has passed after making the request by the petitioner. However, keeping in view that the

petitioner is a widow and that she is only seeking appropriate orders for revision of pension, it is just and proper to direct the 3rd respondent - District Collector, Visakhapatnam, to forward the request of the petitioner in her representation dated 09.01.2015 to the respondents 5 and 6 for appropriate action along with his recommendations, if any, and if such a request is received by the respondents 5 and 6 they shall look into the grievance of the petitioner and take appropriate decision in the matter and pass appropriate orders at the earliest.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.

5. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
