This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking the following relief:
"to issue a writ, order or direction preferably in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondent No.4 in issuing the impugned proceedings No.167/O/2008 dated 14.02.2008 in favour of the 5th respondent as well as the inaction on the part of the 2nd and 3rd respondent in not probing into the representation of the petitioner dated 12.03.2009 is illegal, unjust and violative of A.P. Minor Mineral Concessions Rules and offending Art. 14, 25, 26 and 27 of the Constitution of India and also creating environmental pollution, sound pollution in the locality of the petitioner's land situated at Sy.No.224/1 to an extent of Ac.70-00 at Wadiyaram Village, Chegunta Mandal, Medak District."
2. The petitioner herein filed the present writ petition in the year 2009 complaining against the blasting operations alleged to have undertaken by the fifth respondent pursuant to a lease granted.
3. When the matter is taken up today, it is submitted by the learned Government Pleader that by virtue of Proceedings No.409/TOL/2011 dated 20.02.2015, the Deputy Director of Mines and Geology, Nizamabad, declared the lease as lapsed as per Rules 17 (1) read with 31 (xiii) of A.P. Minor Minerals Concession Rules, 1966 and that in view of the same, the cause in the writ petition does not survive further.
