HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION NOS.25956 OF 2009 AND 19831 OF 2010 COMMON ORDER:

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the respective parties.

The learned counsel appearing for the 1st respondentJawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (in short "JNTU, Hyderabad"), placed on record the proceedings issued by the Principal Secretary to Government, Higher Education (EC) Department, A.P. Secretariat, Hyderabad, to the Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission, Hyderabad, marking a copy to the Registrar, JNTU, Hyderabad, wherein the Principal Secretary to Government had directed the B.Tech., Degree offered by the School of Continuing and Distance Education (SCDE), JNTU, Hyderabad, in the Correspondence Cum Contact (CCC) mode should be treated as valid, like any other B.Tech day-time degree offered by the Universities for all purposes of educations and employment, who got admitted till the year 2009. It is further submitted by the learned counsel for the 1st respondent that the JNTU, Hyderabad had accepted the decision taken by the Government and is ready to implement the same.

Learned Senior Counsel Sri Vidya Sagar, appearing for the petitioners submits that the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed, however, if there is any other grievance the petitioners may be given liberty to approach this Court to work out the modalities in the process of implementation of the directions of the Government.

In the light of the submissions made by the learned senior

counsel, the writ petition is disposed of granting the liberty as sought for. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
