THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR CONTEMPT CASE NO.773 OF 2016

O R D E R

This contempt case was instituted alleging willful disobedience to the order dated 22.03.2016 passed by this Court in W.P.No.9411 of 2016. By the said order, this Court directed the police authorities to take suitable action upon the petitioner's complaint dated 14.03.2016 in the light of the law laid down by this Court in LALITA KUMARI V/s. GOVERNMENT OF UTTAR PRADESH[1].

The Sub-Inspector of Police, Nagarampalem Police Station, Guntur Urban, filed a counter-affidavit stating that upon the petitioner's complaint dated 14.03.2016, Crime No.138 of 2016 was registered on the file of Nagarampalem Police Station, Guntur Urban, under Sections 419, 420, 468, 471 IPC read with Section 34 IPC.

In the light of the aforestated developments, this Court finds no disobedience, much less willful disobedience, to its order warranting exercise of contempt jurisdiction.
