HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE A. RAMALI NGESWARA RAO Writ Petition No. 2504 of 2017 Order:

This Writ Petition is filed challenging the registration of Crime No.839 of 2016 by the second respondent and the consequential seizure of cash and documents.

With regard to quashing of the crime, there is an effective alternative remedy available to the petitioners and, this Court cannot exercise the jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, when there is an effective alternative remedy. In the circumstances, the Writ Petition is dismissed giving liberty to the petitioners to avail the alternative remedy available to them under law. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
