THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. ABHISHEK REDDY CONTEMPT CASE No.1763 of 2022 ORDER:

Alleging violation of the order dated 19.10.2020 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No.17535 of 2020, the present Contempt Case has been filed.

Even though the learned counsel for the petitioners has stated that the official respondents are trying to violate the order of this Court dated 19.10.2020 in Writ Petition No.17535 of 2020 by directing the petitioners to pay the property tax as per the rates levied by the municipality instead of Gram Panchayat, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent No.1 has stated that as on date, the property tax has been collected from the petitioners as per the rates levied by the Gram Panchayat only. That the minor increase in the property tax amounts collected from the petitioners is only due to the calculation of interest on the property tax due. That the calculation is done by the system only and there is no human intervention as such. That the basic amount of property tax as

AAR, J C.C.No.1763 of 2022 levied by the Gram Panchayat has only been collected from the petitioners and the same would be continued pending further orders in Writ Petition No.17535 of 2020. Having regard to the above made submissions, this Contempt Case is closed granting liberty to the petitioners to approach this Court in case the officials tried to collect the property tax as levied by the municipality.
