THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.19806 OF 2017 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 8 to consider the applications, dated 19.12.2016 and 23.01.2017 filed by the petitioner society and to initiate appropriate action under law against the respondents 14, 15 & 17 preventing them from undertaking illegal construction over the Government Owned Open Place.

Heard and perused the material available on record. It is the specific contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has made applications, dated 19.12.2016 and 23.01.2017, to the respondents 2 and 3 for protecting the open place of 251 square yards of Government Owned Open Place at Haripuri Colony, Saroornagar, RR District, and to remove the unauthorized compound wall, and not to give any construction permission. But, the respondents 2 and 3 have not taken any action so far. Considering the limited grievance of the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on merits, the writ petition can be disposed of with a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to pass appropriate orders on the representations made by the petitioner, within a specific time. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents 2 and 3 to pass appropriate orders on the representations, dated 19.12.2016 and 23.12.2017, made by the petitioner, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this

order. No order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petition pending, if any, shall stand closed.
