THE HON'BLE SMT JUSTI CE KONGARA VI JAYA LAKSHMI Contempt Case No.737 of 2016 Order:

This Contempt Case is filed alleging willful disobedience of the orders of this Court passed in W.P.No.18618 of 2008, dated 31.10.2014. The said Writ Petition was disposed of with the following observations:

"Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondents are directed to verify the records and pay compensation to the petitioners as per their entitlement under the provisions of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act in respect of the subject property affected for the purpose of widening the road connecting Clock Towner to Secunderabad Railway Station within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, Sri Chatla Madhu, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, submits that in compliance of the orders of this Court, the amount of compensation has been paid to the petitioners as per their entitlement. In that view of the matter, the Contempt Case is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in this Contempt Case shall stand closed.
