The present writ petition is filed by the petitioners under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, challenging the action of the 3rd respondent in summoning them to the police station and pressuring them to take the 4th respondent into marital relation with the 1st petitioner. 2.
Heard and perused the material available on record. 3.
The main grievance of the petitioners is that the 4th respondent, who is the wife of the 1st petitioner lodged a report against the petitioners in Miyapur Police Station, basing on which a case in Crime No.177 of 2016 was registered against the petitioners for the offence under Section 498-A IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act and after completion of the investigation, charge sheet was filed and the said case was numbered as C.C.No.182 of 2016, and even after filing of the charge sheet, the 3rd respondent is calling the petitioners to the police station and demanding them to accept the 4th respondent.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the grievance of the petitioners, without expressing any opinion on merits, the 3rd respondent is directed not to summon the petitioners in connection with C.C.No.182 of 2016 on the file of the IX Metropolitan Magistrate, Miyapur, Ranga Reddy District.
