Bodiboina Satyanarayana v. Union Of India Rep Byits Secretary And 2 Others
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No.22767 OF 2014 ORDER:
When the matter is taken up for hearing, counsel for the petitioner had contended that the respondents were intending to allot retail petroleum outlets in scheduled tribe areas to non-tribals. In those set of circumstances, the present writ petition is filed and the petitioner is challenging the action of the respondents in not allotting retail petroleum outlets in scheduled tribe areas to local Scheduled Tribe candidates.
Counsel for the petitioner further contended that this Court granted interim order on 08.08.2014 directing the respondents not to finalise the selections insofar as the subject locations are concerned. This Court, having considered the above submissions of counsel for the petitioner, is of the considered view that this writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the cases of local Scheduled Tribe candidates in terms of their policy for allotment of retail petroleum outlets in scheduled tribe areas. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. ______________________________ ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI, J 29th January, 2020 v v
