When this matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner filed this writ petition challenging the action of the 2nd respondent in promoting the 3rd respondent as principal, and now, the petitioner has attained the age of superannuation, and therefore, the cause in this writ petition may not survive. 2.

In view of the above submission, this Court is also of the view that the cause in this writ petition does not survive. 3.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
