Heard Sri P. Panduranga Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Government Pleader for Higher Education appearing for respondent No.1, Sri A. Abhishek Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for respondent Nos.2 and 3 and Sri K. Ramakanth Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for respondent No.4. It is the case of the petitioners that the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the 4th respondent herein, accorded approval in favour of the petitioners herein by proceedings, dated 30.04.2015, for an intake of 120 seats i.e., 60 seats in two branches. It is also stated that in pursuance of the said approval granted by the 4th respondent, the 1st respondent issued G.O.

granting permission in terms of the Andhra Pradesh Education Act and the petitioners institutions were also accorded affiliation by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, the 2nd respondent herein, and the petitioners institutions were also included for the academic year 201415 in the counselling process and the students were allotted to the petitioners institutions. It is further stated that for the academic year 2015-16, the 4th respondent accorded approval for an intake of 120 seats i.e., 60 seats in Civil Engineering and 60 seats in Mechanical Engineering.

deputed Inspection Team for the purpose of according affiliation for the academic year 2015-16 and the said Inspection Team visited the facilities of the petitioners institutions on 10.07.2015 and submitted a report in favour of the petitioners. In the present Writ Petition, the grievance of the petitioners is that thereafter no action has been taken by respondents 1 and 2 herein by issuing orders of affiliation or by including the petitioners institutions in the counselling process. Learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent submitted that further action will be taken as expeditiously as possible. In view of the above reasons, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing respondents 1 and 2 herein to take appropriate action pursuant to the report, dated 10.07.

2015, said to have been submitted by the Inspection Team with regard to the petitioners institutions, as expeditiously as possible within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. The Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
