Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government pleader for Education.

On the order of punishment of stoppage of two annual grade increments with cumulative effect, petitioner preferred appeal on 28.04.2018 acknowledged by the appellant authority on the same day. Alleging inaction in consideration and passing orders in the appeal, this writ petition is filed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the appellate authority to dispose of the appeal within a time frame. 4.

Having regard to the said submission, without expressing any opinion on merits the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Special Chief Secretary-1st respondent to pass orders on the appeal preferred by the petitioner on 28.04.2018, if the same is not disposed of so far, on consideration of the grounds raised in the appeal, by assigning due reasons in support of the decision, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
