The grievance of the petitioners was that the Station House Officer, Kotabommali Police Station, Tekkali Circle, Srikakulam District, was interfering in their civil disputes as regards certain lands in Dantha Village, Kotabommali Mandal, Srikakulam District. Consequential direction was sought to the said Station House Officer not to call the petitioners to the police station in this regard. Basing on the written instructions dated 22.07.2011 furnished by the Station House Officer, Kotabommali Police Station, Srikakulam District, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home stated that no complaint had been received or registered against the petitioners on the file of the said police station. However, the petitioners had submitted a petition on 05.04.2011 to the Superintendent of
Police, Srikakulam, alleging interference in civil disputes by the Kotabommali police. Thereupon, an enquiry was undertaken and the petitioners were summoned to the police station to ascertain against whom they had made allegations. However, as the dispute was purely a civil one in nature, the Station House Officer stated that he had advised the parties to settle their disputes before the competent Court. The Station House Officer further stated that no action had been initiated against anyone and that there was no interference by the police in the civil disputes pertaining to the petitioners.
The stand of the police authorities as afore-stated is taken on record. In the light thereof, no cause survives for consideration in this writ petition which is accordingly closed.
Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
