Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Revenue.

With the consent of both the parties, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

The present Writ Petition came to be filed with the following prayer:

'For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, it is hereby prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a Writ or order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of the second respondent in not disposing the Appeal No.T2/ 602/ 2013, kept pending since 2013, as illegal, arbitrary and violative of principles of natural justice and consequently direct respondent No.2 to dispose of the said appeal at the earliest by fixing some reasonable time, and to pass such other order or orders as this Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case".

Learned Government Pleader for Revenue, on instructions submits that one Sri Rajiv Sharma, has been appointed as Full Additional In-Charge of respondent No.2 and the appeal, if pending, may be directed to be disposed of, in accordance with law.

Having regard to the above, the Full Additional In-Charge of second respondent shall dispose of appeal No.T2/ 602/ 2013, filed by the petitioner against the order of the Joint Collector, Hyderabad District passed in file No.B2/ 2765/ 2006, dated 07.01.2006, if the same is pending, as early as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in accordance with law. Till such time, status-quo as on today shall be maintained with regard to possession, making it clear that no extension would be entertained.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. 7.
