THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No.356 of 2009 ORDER:

The petitioner, who is a retired Government employee, filed the present Writ Petition seeking notional promotion as Deputy Director (Admn.) at Regional Directorate, Medical and Health Services from 20.04.2005 on various grounds. At the time when this Writ Petition was filed on 18.12.2008, the Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal was having jurisdiction in respect of the service matters pertaining to all the employees in the erstwhile combined State of Andhra Pradesh. In the circumstances, this Writ Petition should not have been filed before this Court. But, later on, the Administrative Tribunal to the extent of the service matters relating to the employees of the Telangana Government are concerned, was abolished.

Since the present Writ Petition was not maintainable when the Writ Petition was filed, this Writ Petition is dismissed. However, liberty is given to the petitioner to take appropriate steps in accordance with law. The miscellaneous petitions pending in this Writ Petition, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
