The petitioner, who was working as a driver in the respondents-
Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (the Corporation, for short), was declared unfit for the post of driver after being examined medically by the doctors at the Corporation Hospital, Tarnaka on 24-12-2014. The petitioner made a representation dated 06-02-2015 to the 3rd respondent requesting to provide alternative employment as a Shramik/Attender/Store Attender. On receiving the said representation, the 3rd respondent addressed a letter dated 11-3-2015 to the Personnel Officer of the Corporation Hospital, Tarnaka by enclosing the representation to take early action basing on the representation. Subsequently, it is said that another letter dated 24-3-2015 was also addressed by the 3rd respondent on similar lines. But, so far, according to the petitioner, no action has been taken for providing alternative employment to the petitioner.
2. Under these circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of, at the stage of admission, directing the 2nd respondent to take appropriate action on the representation of the petitioner forwarded by the 3rd respondent whereunder the petitioner sought alternative employment within a period of 8 (eight) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. No costs. ___________________ R.KANTHA RAO, J.
