Heard.

Aggrieved by the endorsement, dated 07-12-2015 passed by the 4th respondent rejecting the request of the petitioners for conversion of agricultural land into non-agricultural use, the present writ petition is filed. It appears that the petitioners made an application to the 3rd respondent on 03-12-2015 and the same was forwarded to the 4th respondent and under the impugned endorsement, the 4th respondent has rejected the petitioner's request for conversion and the same is questioned primarily on the ground that the 4th respondent is not the competent authority and under the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural Land (conversion for non-agricultural purposes) Act, 2006, the 3rd respondent is the competent authority.

As the 3rd respondent is the competent authority, the impugned endorsement passed by the 4th respondent is set aside and the 3rd respondent is directed to consider the request of the petitioners and pass appropriate orders thereon expeditiously.
