O R D E R

Petitioner is 'National S.C. Reservation Parirakshana Samithi' and it is represented by its Vice President. Aggrieved by the action of the respondents in not granting permission for conducting public meeting on 12.08.2018 (Sunday) at Indira Mydanam, Tirupati between 4.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m., the present writ petition is filed.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Learned Government Pleader for Home produced copy of the proceedings in Rc.No.18/MP/SDPO-TYT(E)/2018 dated 09-08-2018 issued by the Sub Divisional Police Officer, East Sub Division, Tirupati, and submitted that petitioner was granted permission as sought for. She submits that some messages are being circulated through the mode of WHATSAPP, in the name of the petitioner, which are in the nature of disturbing public tranquility and causing law and order problem and, therefore, petitioner may be directed not to indulge in such activities.

The grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition is with regard to not granting permission for conduct of meeting. The same stood redressed by proceedings dated 09.08.2018.

If the activities of the petitioner create any law and order problem, it goes without saying that the authorities shall take appropriate action in accordance with law. It is also open for the petitioner to avail remedies available under law, against the excesses of the police authorities. Writ petition is accordingly disposed of. Interlocutory applications pending, if any, shall stand closed. No costs.
