THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.29235 of 2018 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed alleging that even though a complaint was lodged by the petitioner on 31.05.2018 making out cognizable offence, no crime is registered and the same is illegal. When the matter is taken up, learned counsel for the petitioner produced correspondence from the Police officer of Jawahar Nagar Police Station, dated 01.04.2019, informing the petitioner that on preliminary enquiry, the matter was closed at the Police Station level on 15.07.2018. In other words, even before institution of the present Writ Petition, the Police have refused to register the complaint lodged by the petitioner. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the same, he is entitled to avail appropriate remedy. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed leaving it open to the petitioner to avail the remedies available in law, if he is not satisfied with the reply given by the Police. Miscellaneous Petitions pending in this writ petition, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs. _____________________ P.NAVEEN RAO, J 2nd April, 2019.
