HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN Writ Petition No.11200 of 2009 ORDER:

The lease period for collection of coconut halves expired on 13.07.2008. The 3rd respondent, by proceedings dated 13.05.2009, sought permission of the first respondent to renew the petitioner's lease for a further period of three years. The said three years period expired in May, 2012, nearly five years ago. It is evident, therefore, that the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive necessitating any further adjudication by this Court, and the Writ Petition has become infructuous.

The Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed as infructuous. The Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
