2015-03-06Vilas V.Afzulpurkar2 pages

HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V.AFZULPURKAR W.P.No.5505 of 2015 ORDER:

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned G.P.for Prohibition & Excise.

The Deputy Commissioner of Prohibition & Excise has already passed an order dated 22.09.2014 releasing the petitioner's vehicle on conditions and as is evident from the order, the Motor Vehicle Inspector has assessed the value and petitioner was given an option to deposit the said value. Since this Court has already passed similar orders in several matters directing the Deputy Commissioner to release the vehicles as per the assessed value by the Motor Vehicles Inspector, I do not see any reason to entertain the writ petition as the order passed is in conformity of the earlier orders passed by this Court in several other matters. Hence, the writ petition is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. No order as to costs. The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
