Heard.

The petitioner submitted an application dated 24.11.2015 for correction of year of birth in his passport, which is mentioned as 1979 instead of 1977. The petitioner is stated to have enclosed his SCC Marks Memo and Aadhar Card along with his application confirming his correct date of birth and he is given appointment by the Regional Passport Office, Begumpet, Hyderabad, the 2nd respondent on 18.12.2015. However, apprehending that his application shall not be considered by the 2nd respondent, the present Writ Petition is filed. Sir K.V. Rama Rao, learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent, states that the petitioner's application shall be considered and disposed of on its own merits on the date of appointment already given to him. In view of the same, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider the application of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders expeditiously in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
