This petition is filed under Section 437 and 439 Cr.P.C. by the petitioner/ A-1 seeking regular bail in Crime No.76 of 2017 of Dwaraka Police Station, Visakhapatnam District wherein the accused allegedly committed the offences under Sections 3, 4, 5, 7, and 8 of Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act and Section 370(A)(2) of IPC.

The allegation against the petitioner/ A-1 is that he was running a brothel house and during the police raid on 19.03.2017 himself and other accused were caught red handed. Bail is pleaded mainly on the ground that investigation is completed and charge sheet is filed and the accused has been in custody since 19.03.2017.

Learned Addl.P.P. though admitted that charge sheet was filed, opposed bail in view of the gravity of the offences. As can be seen from the facts of the case, petitioner/ A-1 was allegedly running a brothel house and he along with other accused was caught red handed. The offence of this nature is a carbuncle on the body of society causing far reaching effects. As rightly pointed out by the learned Addl.P.P., the possibility of petitioner/ A-1 indulging in similar type of offences if granted bail, cannot be ruled out. Having regard to the menace of the offence

with which the petitioner/ A-1 is charged, it is not a fit case to grant bail.

Accordingly, the bail application is dismissed.
