HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No.303 OF 2013 ORDER:

In this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, petitioners/A1 to A9 seek to quash the proceedings in Crime No.96 of 2012 of Kirlampudi Police Station, East Godavari District, registered for the offences under Section 354 r/w 34 IPC and Section 3(1)(x) of SC, ST (POA) Act, 2015.

When the matter came up for hearing, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor produced the letter dated 11.07.2018 of Sub-Inspector of Police, Kakinada and submitted that after completion of investigation in the above said crime, the same was referred as 'FALSE', through proceedings of the Superintendent of Police, Kakinada vide C.No.3407/C3/2012, dated 27.09.2013 and the final report was filed before the Judicial First Class Magistrate, Prathipadu and therefore, the petition which is filed to quash the proceedings in Crime No.96 of 2012 has become infructuous and hence the same may be dismissed.

In view of the above submission of learned Public Prosecutor, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as Infructuous. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
