Though the matter is listed today under the caption "for dismissal", none appeared for the petitioner. A perusal of the record discloses that the petitioners are seeking regularization of their services and their grievance is that though have been working since more than ten days, the respondents are not considering their cases for regularization. The record further discloses that while admitting the writ petition, this Court directed the respondents to continue the petitioners as Short Firers vide orders dated 29.06.2004 in WPMP No.13737 of 2004.

Learned standing counsel for the respondents has contended that the petitioners were not appointed as per rules and, hence, the question of considering their case for regularization does not arise and there are no merits in the writ petition and the same is liable to be dismissed.

This Court having considered the submission made by the learned standing counsel for the respondents and perused the record is of the considered view that the writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the cases of the petitioners for regularization of their services.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the cases of the petitioners for regularization

of their services and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with the rules, within a period of four weeks.
