HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO ORDER:

W.P.No.7758 of 2014 was instituted challenging the proceedings dated 19.12.2013 of the 3rd respondent in the writ petition to the extent of fixing of pay of petitioner in the category of Shramik and not paying the salary from September, 2011 to 19.12.2013 as illegal and violation of the provisions of the Act 1 of 1996. By order dated 04.04.2014, the Court directed the respondent authorities to pay salary from 01.02.2012 in the rank of Driver. Alleging non-compliance of the said direction, this Contempt Case is filed.

Learned standing counsel produced copy of the letter of the Depot Manager dated 20.06.2014 addressed to the Senior Law Officer of the Corporation informing him that as per the directions of the Court, salary for the period from 01.02.2012 to 18.12.2014 was calculated and cheque was drawn for an amount of  2,45,658/- and paid to the petitioner. Learned standing counsel also produced copy of the receipt signed by the petitioner. Learned standing counsel also informed the Court that writ petition was finally disposed of, by order dated 23.09.2016. 3.

In view thereof, it cannot be said that respondents have disobeyed the orders of this Court necessitating to initiate contempt proceedings and Contempt Case is accordingly closed.
