The Laymens Evangelical Fellowship Church, Pakalapadu Rep. v. The State Of Andhra Pradesh Rep. By Its
HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.25674 of 2016 ORDER:
This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 3 to 5-police not to interfere with the affairs of the petitioner Church.
Heard and perused the material available on record. The grievance of the petitioner is that without there being registration of any crime, the respondents 3 to 5-police are interfering with the religious affairs of the Church in spite of interim orders passed by the Civil Court.
Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on instructions, submitted that the respondents 3 to 5 are not intending to interfere with the religious affairs of the petitionerChurch. Now, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a direction may be given to the respondents 3 to 5 not to interfere with the religious affairs of the petitioner-Church. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents 3 to 5 not to interfere with the religious affairs of the petitioner-Church without there being any case registered against the petitioner-Church disclosing any cognizable offence. No costs.
