THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO CONTEMPT CASE No.1388 OF 2017 ORDER:
Learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel for the respondent - Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation report that the order dated 04.08.2015 passed in W.P.No.18335 of 2015 is since complied.

Learned counsel for the petitioner on earlier occasion pointed out that there was inordinate delay in complying with the directions of the Court. Therefore, the Court directed the deponent to explain the reasons for the delay.

Ms. Sruthi Oja, the respondent herein, deposed on 21.12.2017 and in paragraph No.4 of the counter affidavit, it is stated that the previous Commissioner conducted personal hearing on 27.01.2016 and 09.02.2016 and the matter was adjourned for further hearing on the request of the parties to supply the documents to each other. The then Commissioner was transferred on 20.10.2016 and for about 11⁄2 months, there was no Commissioner. The present incumbent assumed charge on 04.12.2016 and conducted personal hearing and passed orders. It is further stated that in the meantime, she was deputed to Delhi to attend some official work and expressed unconditional apology. 4.
Though the explanation is not very satisfactory, the apology expressed by the incumbent is accepted and warned to be careful in dealing with the matters, where there is a specific time frame to pass orders.

The Contempt Case is accordingly closed.
