In this petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., the petitioner-accused seeks to quash the proceedings in C.C.No. 745 of 2014 on the file of the Court of III Metropolitan Magistrate, Cyberabad at L.B. Nagar, Ranga Reddy District, registered for the offence punishable under Section 498-A of IPC.

When the matter came up for hearing, learned Public Prosecutor has produced the letter dated 07-07-2018 of Sub Inspector of Police, Medipally Police Station, Rachakonda, and submitted that the case was ended in acquittal on 19-08-2016 and therefore, the petition, which is filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No. 745 of 2014, has become infructuous and hence, the same may be dismissed.

In view of the above submission of learned Public Prosecutor, the criminal petition is dismissed as infructuous. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand dismissed in consequence.
