THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.35884 of 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India is filed seeking to call for records pertaining to registration of complaint in FIR No.232 of 2016, on the file of the 3rd respondent, dated 14.10.2016 and to quash the same.

Heard and perused the material available on record. The main grievance of the petitioner is that the 4th respondent lodged a private complaint before the Judicial First Class Magistrate, Metpally, alleging that her marriage with A-1, who is the son of the petitioner was performed on 22.05.2013, and at the time of marriage, her parents gave Rs.6,00,000/- in cash apart from giving 40 tulas of gold, 1 1⁄2 kg silver and other household articles worth Rs.1,50,000/- and A-1 along with the petitioners are harassing her to bring additional dowry. The said complaint was referred to the 3rd respondent, who registered the same as FIR No.232 of 2016 against the petitioner and another under Section 498-A IPC read with Sections 3 & 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Considering the grievance of the petitioner, the 3rd respondent is directed to complete the investigation in FIR No.232 of 2016, as expeditiously as possible and file a final report, if any, either way in accordance with law, without arresting the petitioner. The petitioner is directed to appear before the 3rd respondent as and when required for the purpose of investigation.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed. _________________ RAJA ELANGO,J Date: 25th October, 2016.
