In the present writ petition, the petitioner is questioning the appointment of the fourth respondent as a Fair Price Shop Dealer. When the matter is taken up, a preliminary objection with regard to the maintainability of the writ petition is taken by the learned Government Pleader contending that as against the order impugned, the petitioner has alternative remedy of appeal under Clause 20 of the Andhra Pradesh State Public Distribution System (Control) Order, 2008 (for short 'the Control Order, 2008').

In view of the fact that the petitioner has an effective alternative remedy, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed, with liberty to the petitioner to avail the alternative remedy available in accordance with the Control Order, 2008.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
