Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare appearing for 1st respondent and the learned Government Pleader for School Education appearing for 2nd respondent.

Petitioners' grievance is that the 2nd petitioner had applied on 01-06-2016 to 1st respondent for renewal of Minority Status Certificate, which had been issued for 2015-16, for the next academic year 2016-17. Petitioner contends that as per G.O.Ms.No.1 dt.16-01-2004, in fact, such Certificates should be given every three years. 3.

Learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare states that 1st respondent will consider petitioner's representation dt.01-06-2016 within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate his decision thereon to the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing 1st respondent to consider petitioner's representation dt.01-06-2016 within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate his decision thereon to the petitioner. No costs. 5.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed.
