HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO WRIT PETITION No.20983 OF 2009 ORDER:

The petitioners seek writ of Mandamus declaring the act of the respondent banks in deducting the crop insurance premium from the crop loan amount to be advanced to the petitioner at the rate of 1% to 12% towards the crop insurance premium for Kharif and Rabi seasons 2009-2010 as illegal, arbitrary and violative of Article 21 of the Constitution of India and pass such other order. 2.

When the matter is called, learned counsel for petitioners submits that the subject matter in the writ petition has become infructuous since the relief sought for in the present writ petition is pertaining to the crop period for the years 2009-2010, which was over long back. 3.

Recording the said submission, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
