THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.6820 OF 2016 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioners under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. seeking to quash the proceedings in C.C. No.624 of 2015 pending on the file of Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, Gudiwada, Krishna District for the offences under Sections 498-A, 494 r/w 109 IPC.

After arguing for some time, since this Court is not inclined to quash the proceedings at this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioners confined his argument to the extent of dispensing with the presence of the petitioners before the trial Court. In the circumstances, the presence of the petitioner Nos.2 to 8 herein is dispensed with before the trial Court except on the dates so specifically the trial Court insists for their appearance and they are permitted to be represented by the first petitioner herein on all hearing dates before the trial Court. The Criminal Petition is accordingly disposed of. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending, shall stand closed.
