THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO Criminal Petition No.473 of 2016 ORDER:

This criminal petition is filed by the petitioner - accused No.1 under section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, seeking grant of anticipatory bail in Crime No.1 of 2016 on the file of Nuzvid Police Station, Krishna District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 409, 420, 477-A, 467, 468, 471 I.P.C. and Section 66-C&D of I.T. Act, 2008. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and perused the material available on record.

The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner is previously worked as Branch Manager of Indian Bank, Gollapalli Branch from 03-08-2013 to 07-09-2015 and during his tenure, the petitioner committed various irregularities, later the Zonal office of Indian Bank, Vijayawada made investigation and found that the petitioner committed various fraudulent transactions during his tenure at his branch, he transferred huge amounts from various customers accounts to his personal accounts through net banking and voucher transfer and the fraud amount is Rs.1,75,15,049/- as per the internal investigation report did by zonal office, Vijayawada. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner - accused No.1.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
