HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. SHANKAR NARAYANA CRIMINAL PETITION No.1502 OF 2017 ORDER:

The present petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short, 'the Cr.P.C.') requesting the Court to give a direction to the learned XI-Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Secunderabad, to dispose of C.C.No.1917 of 2010 within three months as it is an old case. 2.

Sri George Victor, learned counsel for the petitioner-accused No.2, would submit that the present calendar case is six (6) years old, and, therefore, to give directions to the learned Magistrate to dispose of the calendar case within three (3) months. 3.

Heard learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Telangana.

Keeping in view, that the calendar case relates to 2010 and the offences alleged against the petitioner herein is punishable under Sections 457 and 380 IPC, that too, in connection with the cash stolen from the cash counter that gave rise to the above crime, the learned XI-Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Hyderabad, is hereby directed to dispose of C.C.No.1917 of 2010 within six months from the date of receipt of the copy of the order. The petitioner herein along with other accused and the prosecution shall cooperate in the matter so as to enable the learned Magistrate to dispose of the case within the timeline prescribed by this Court.

With the above direction, the criminal petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.
