HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 29439 of 2018 ORDER:
The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus to declare the inaction of the 2nd respondent in passing appropriate orders on the stay application filed by the petitioners in the appeal filed by them, questioning the order of the 3rd respondent in Ref.No. A/ 129/ 2017, dated 11.01.2018, as illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional.

Sri P.Veera Reddy, the learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that without reference to the pendency of the stay application, the Tahsildar addressed Letter No. AE./ O/ VPT/ SBE/ F No./ D No. 15/ 18, dated 10.08.2018 to the A.P. TRANSCO for disconnection of the electrical supply to the schedule property.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue (A.P.) would submit that the aforementioned letter was addressed in the month of January, 2018, but, there are no further instructions in the matter. He undertakes that the Revenue Divisional Officer will dispose the appeal filed by the petitioners which is pending before him, and pass appropriate orders within a period of two weeks.

In view of the submission made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the present writ petition is disposed of, directing the 2nd respondent-the Revenue Divisional Officer, Jammalamadugu to dispose of the stay application filed by the petitioners, questioning the order passed by the 3rd respondent dated 11.01.2018, or in the alternative, to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioners, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of two (02) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. Status quo obtaining as on today shall be maintained, with regard to supply of electricity to the schedule property for a period of three (03) weeks from today. There shall be no order as to costs.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
