The grievance of the petitioners in this case was that the police authorities were harassing them in the guise of investigating Crime
No.32 of 2011 on the file of Sarangapur Police Station, Karimnagar District.
Relying on the written instructions dated 31.07.2015 received from the Station House Officer, Sarangapur Police Station, Karimnagar District, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home informed this Court that the 5th respondent herein submitted a complaint against the petitioners, whereupon Crime No.32 of 2011 was registered under Sections 448, 506 and 509 I.P.C. read with Section 34 I.P.C. on the file of Sarangapur Police Station and investigation was taken up. The police laid a charge sheet before the learned Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Jagtial, in C.C.No.456 of 2014 against the petitioners but they were ultimately acquitted on 16.04.2015. In the light of the afore-stated developments, the police authorities have no reason to interfere with the life and liberty of the petitioners in the context of Crime No.32 of 2011 as the said case has already ended. The grievance of the petitioners therefore does not survive for consideration on merits at this stage. The writ petition is accordingly closed.
Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
