THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.3955 of 2016 ORDER:

The prayer of the petitioner in this case is as under: "For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, it is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue an appropriate Writ, Order or Direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the 1st and 2nd respondents in not withdrawing/recalling the seizure orders in respect of the petitioner's S.B.A/c.No.0304010502443 in 4th respondent Bank as illegal, improper unjust and further direct the respondents 1 & 2 forthwith to recall the seizure orders in respect of the petitioner's S.B.A/c.No.0304010502443 in ICICI Bank, Vanasthalipuram Branch in view of withdrawing the prosecution in Crime No.20/ACB/HR/2007 and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may fit and proper in the interest of justice."

It is now stated that the Inspector of Police, Anti Corruption Bureau, Hyderabad, addressed letter dated 13.02.2016 to the Branch Manager, ICICI Bank, Vanasthalipuram Branch, Hyderabad, requesting him to defreeze the subject account of the petitioner. The Bank in turn addressed letter dated 16.02.2016 to the Inspector of Police, Anti Corruption Bureau, Hyderabad, stating that the account of the petitioner would be defreezed within seven days. In that view of the matter, the grievance of the petitioner stands settled. The writ petition is accordingly closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
