THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE K.SURENDER CRIMINAL PETITION No.9881 OF 2022 O R D E R:
This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short 'Cr.P.C.') by the petitioners/A6 and A7 to quash C.C.No.432 of 2016 on the file of XIII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Hyderabad. The offences alleged against them are under Sections 498-A, 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 4 and 6 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent - State. Perused the record.

Accused Nos.1 to preferred quash petition in Crl.P.No.3298 of 2022 and on the basis of settlement between parties, sought permission of this Court to compound and compromise the offence. This Court by order dated 10.06.2022 quashed the proceedings against accused Nos.1 to 3 in Crl.P.No.3298 of 2022, on the ground of compromise.

Since the offence itself is compounded, the question of continuation of trial against these petitioners who are Accused Nos.6 and 7 does not arise.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is allowed and proceedings against these petitioners/A6 and A7 in C.C.No.432 of 2016 on the file of XIII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Hyderabad, are hereby quashed.
