THE HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN AND THE HON'BLE Mr. JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI Writ Petition No.43806 of 2016 Order: (Per the Hon'ble The Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan) On the ground that the petitioners do not have any personal interest in the matter, and it is in the nature of public interest litigation, the matter has been referred to a Division Bench by the learned Single Judge.

The relevant rules stipulate compliance with various conditions for a Writ Petition (Public Interest Litigation) to be entertained. Since the present writ petition was filed before the learned Single Judge, the conditions prescribed in the relevant rules have not been complied with. The Writ Petition, as filed, cannot be entertained as a public interest litigation Writ Petition. Granting liberty to the petitioners, if they so choose, to file a separate Writ Petition in public interest, the present Writ Petition is dismissed. Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall also stand dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. __________________________________ (RAMESH RANGANATHAN, ACJ) __________________________________ (ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI, J) 9th November, 2017 pnb
