HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.17887 OF 2010 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed complaining the non-conducting of elections to the Kuppam Rural Electrical Co-operative Society, Kuppam, Chittoor District for more than 16 years, as arbitrary and illegal and for a further direction to the respondents to take immediate steps for conducting elections to the society. A counter affidavit has been filed by the 2nd and 3rd respondents on 28.09.2010, is on record. In the counter affidavit, it has been categorically stated that the election process has already been initiated by the District Collector / Election Authority, Chittoor District, by appointing the Divisional Co-operative Officer, Madanapalle, as Election Officer to conduct the elections to the Kuppam Rural Electrical Co-operative Society, Kuppam, vide Proceedings in Rc.No.3374/2009/D2, dt.30.07.2010.

In the light of the above and considering the fact of the relief claimed is for the year 2010, nothing survives in this Writ Petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed.
