The grievance of the petitioners in this case was that the Station House Officer, Mills Colony Police Station, Warangal District, was not

investigating Crime No.366 of 2012 registered on the file of the said police station and was on the other hand, pressurizing the petitioners to handover their land to the unofficial respondents though civil suits were pending on the file of the learned VI Additional Junior Civil Judge, Warangal.

The Station House Officer, Mills Colony Police Station, Warangal District, furnished written instructions dated 06.08.2015 to the office of the learned Government Pleader for Home, wherein he stated that the petitioners lodged a complaint with the Mills Colony Police Station, whereupon Crime No.366 of 2012 was registered under Section 3(1)(x) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. Upon due investigation, the police authorities found that a prima facie case was made out against the three accused therein and accordingly laid a charge sheet before the learned I Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Warangal, on 03.08.2015. The Station House Officer further stated that the PRC number was awaited. A copy of the said charge sheet is also placed on record.

In the light of the afore-stated developments, the grievance of the petitioners as to the alleged inaction on the part of the police authorities in the context of Crime No.366 of 2012 on the file of the Mills Colony Police Station, Warangal District, stands redressed. As regards the other contention urged by the petitioners, it is not open to the police authorities to interfere in civil disputes and having already completed the investigation and laid a charge sheet, it shall not be open to them to interfere in the civil disputes of the petitioners with the unofficial respondents herein.

Subject to the above observations, the writ petition is closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
