THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE V. RAMASUBRAMANIAN AND THE HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE J. UMA DEVI WRIT PETITION No. 5184 of 2017 ORDER: (Per VRS,J) The petitioner, who was transporting plywood in his lorry from Kerala to a destination in Hyderabad, has come up with the present writ petition, challenging the detention of the goods and the vehicle. 2.

Heard Mr. Upadhyay Raghavender, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mr. M. Govind Reddy, learned special standing counsel for Commercial Taxes (Telangana), appearing for the respondents.

According to the learned special standing counsel, the consignee's name is mentioned as Samanta Traders, but they are untraceable. The case of the respondents is that there has been a transportation of goods to unknown and unregistered consignees. 4.

In view of such a stand, we should allow the respondents to proceed, in accordance with law, as against the goods. But, the detention of the lorry may be un-necessary.

Therefore, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to detain the goods and release the lorry. After further orders are passed, it will be open to the respondents to take action in respect of the goods.
