Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services-I appearing for learned Government Pleader for Revenue for respondents. 2.

This writ petition is filed praying to grant the following relief : "..... declaring that the inaction on part of the respondent No.3 in considering the application of the petitioner dated 28.07.2018 for release of 90% of the dearness allowance, in cash, for a period 19.04.2008 to 29.02.2012 as per G.O.Ms.No.22, dated 22.01.2013 is highly illegal and arbitrary, consequently, this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to direct the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner dated 28.07.2018 for release of 90% of the dearness allowance in cash for the period 19.04.2008 to 29.02.2012 as per G.O.Ms.No.22, dated 22.01.2013 ...."

When the matter is taken up, learned Assistant Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that Government is taking steps to release the amount of dearness allowance payable to the petitioner and requests six weeks time for releasing the same. 4.

In view of the said statement of learned Assistant Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to release the dearness allowance amount payable to the petitioner in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.22 dated 22.01.2013, within six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
