O R D E R

Alleging that respondents 3 to 6 - police authorities, are summoning the petitioner to the police station at the instance of unofficial respondents 7 and 8 and harassing him and thereby interfering with his life and liberty, the present writ petition is filed. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced the written instructions of Sub Inspector of Police, Chityal Police Station, dated 21.08.2018, stating that the 7th respondent, who is the wife of the petitioner, lodged complaint against the petitioner and his parents on 3.4.2018, alleging that they subjecting her to cruelty, both physically and mentally, and demanding for additional dowry. Based on her complaint, entry was made in the general diary and as it is a matrimonial dispute, petitioner was contacted over phone for counseling, but in vain. The allegations of the petitioner with regard to calling him to police station and interfering with his life and liberty and the allegations made in the writ affidavit, are denied.

Recording the statement made in the written instructions, writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents 3 and 4 - police authorities, not to interfere with the life and liberty of the petitioner except in accordance with law.

While taking action on the complaint of the 7th respondent dated 03.04.2018, respondents 3 and 4, shall follow the guidelines laid down by Apex Court in RAJESH SHARMA v.
