THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T.SUNIL CHOWDARY CRIMINAL PETITION No.5444 of 2017 ORDER:

This petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to quash the proceedings against the petitioner-respondent in D.V.C. No.2 of 2009 on the file of the Court of Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Venkatagiri, Nellore District.

2.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. 3.

At the time of hearing, the only relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner is to direct the trial court to dispose of D.V.C. No.2 of 2009 as early as possible. A perusal of the record reveals that the D.V.C. is pending since 2009. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this court is not inclined to go into the merits of the main case. 4.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the trial court is directed to dispose of D.V.C. No.2 of 2009 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of seven (7) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.

With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions if any pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
