THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No. 2856 of 2017 ORDER:

This writ petition was filed challenging the action of respondent No.3-Station House Officer, Women Police Station, Ghansibazar, Hyderabad in harassing the petitioners by calling them to the Police Station and forcing them to sign on blank papers and accede to the illegal demands of respondent No.4 under threat of registering criminal cases.

Learned Government Pleader for Home, on the basis of written instructions, submits that respondent No.4 submitted a petition before Police on 29.07.2016 and the same was entered in the Station Records for conducting enquiry. Thereafter, the petitioners were not called to the Police Station. The allegation that respondent No.3 is harassing the petitioners by calling them to the Police Station was denied.

In view of the denial by the Police, this writ petition is closed by observing that the Police shall not harass and call the petitioners to the Police Station unnecessarily unless their presence is required for the purpose of investigation of any crime. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs. ________________________ A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO,J Dt:07.02.2017 Note: Issue cc in two days.
