The grievance of the petitioner in the present Writ Petition is the inaction on the part of respondent No.3 in considering his application, dated 29-09-1987, seeking reference under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (for short 'the Act'). Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Land Acquisition (AP) appearing for the respondents.

According to the learned Counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner's lands admeasuring Ac.1.92 cents, Ac,2.00 cents and Ac.1.05 cents situated in Survey Nos.12/2, 12/4 and 14/1 respectively of Pulikallu Village, Podalakur Mandal, SPSR Nellore District, were acquired in connection with Telugu Ganga Project and an award was passed vide Rc.C.No.B.959/85, dated 31-08-1987. The petitioner submitted an application on 29.09.1987 to the respondents seeking reference under Section 18 of the Act, but, no action has so far been taken thereon.

AVSS, J W.P.No.8375 of 2017 Dt: 10.03.2017 Having heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Land Acquisition (AP), this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the present Writ Petition with a direction to the respondents to take appropriate action on the application, dated 29-09-1987, made by the petitioner for reference under Section 18 of the Act within a period of three months from the date of receipt of this order. Subject to the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.

As a sequel to disposal of the Writ Petition, WPMP.No.10369 of 2017, filed by the petitioner for interim relief, is disposed of as infructuous.
